Skyping with My Teacher

Mrs. Burn's 5th grade class Skyped with their teacher who was visiting the the Mayan Ruins in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.  She took them to el Castillo which is a massive step pyramid that dates back to 600 A.D. to the 1200's  is one of the " 7 Wonders of the World" .  The students saw the ball court in el Castillo and the Temple of Warriors.  Mrs. Burns spoke about the history around these ancient ruins and the town of Piste where she was visiting.  Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the tour and the lessons will continue when Mrs. Burns returns with further discussion and video of the ruins.  Today was a real time experience for these 5th graders.
